Domain-Based Account Setup Explained
domainbusinesssetup
Domain-based account setup allows you to link your business account to your company's email domain.
How It Works
When you create a Business Account with a domain (e.g., example.com):
- The domain is registered with your account
- Employees with @example.com emails can automatically request access
- Account owners/admins receive notifications for access requests
- Access can be approved or rejected
Benefits
- Automatic Detection: Employees are automatically detected when they sign up
- Easy Onboarding: Streamlined process for adding team members
- Domain Uniqueness: Only one account per domain prevents duplicates
- Security: Domain verification helps ensure legitimate business accounts
Setting Up Domain
- Enter your company domain (e.g., "example.com" not "www.example.com")
- Complete the authority declaration
- Your domain is registered
Employee Access
When an employee with a matching domain email signs up:
- They'll see a notification about the existing account
- They can request access
- Account owners/admins receive a notification
- Access can be approved with one click
Domain Requirements
- Must be a valid domain format
- Cannot be duplicated (one account per domain)
- Should match your company's actual email domain
