What Happens When Your Domain Already Exists?

If you try to create a Business Account with a domain that's already registered, you'll see a message indicating the domain is already in use.

Why This Happens

Domains must be unique in Refer2u. This prevents:

• Duplicate business accounts
• Confusion about account ownership
• Unauthorised account creation

What You Can Do

Option 1: Request Access

If the account belongs to your company:

• Click "Request Access to Existing Account"
• Your request will be sent to account owners/admins
• They can approve your access

Option 2: Create a Dispute

If you believe you should own the account:

• Click "Create Dispute"
• Explain why you believe you should own the account
• Refer2u administrators will review the dispute

Option 3: Use a Different Domain

If you're setting up a different entity:

• Use a different domain
• Or create the account without a domain initially

Finding the Account Owner

If you're unsure who created the account:

• Check with your IT department
• Ask company leadership
• Contact Refer2u support for assistance

Prevention

To avoid this situation:

• Check with your team before creating an account
• Use your official company domain
• Coordinate with IT/operations teams
