Domain-Based Auto-Linking Explained
domainauto-linkingaccess
Domain-based auto-linking automatically detects when employees with matching domain emails sign up for Refer2u.
How It Works
- Account Created: Business Account is created with domain (e.g., example.com)
- Employee Signs Up: Employee with @example.com email signs up
- Auto-Detection: System detects domain match
- Access Request: Access request is automatically created
- Notification: Account owners/admins receive notification
- Approval: Owner/admin approves or rejects request
Benefits
- Seamless Onboarding: Employees don't need invitation links
- Automatic Detection: No manual searching required
- Secure Process: Still requires approval from account owners
- Scalable: Works for companies of any size
For Employees
When you sign up with a work email:
- If a matching account exists, you'll see a notification
- You can request access immediately
- Account owners will be notified
- You'll get access once approved
For Account Owners
When an employee requests access:
- You'll receive a notification
- Review the request
- Approve or reject as appropriate
- Employee gains access upon approval
Troubleshooting
Not seeing the account?
- Check your email domain matches exactly
- Contact your IT department
- Request access manually if needed
Request not approved?
- Contact account owner/admin
- Check if your email domain is correct
- Create a dispute if you believe you should have access
